Once its booted go to Run, type in: msconfig then hit enter it will show a list of all the programs that run at startup. these programs have to load before your booted. There are check boxes to disable them. Now before you do anything hit print screen, open notepad and paste, then print you may have to scroll down and repeat till you have the whole list. Google 1 line at a time. example mscdx.exe
it will tell you what it for, who made it etc. Disable the ones that aren't needed for windows to run (it should say) and reboot. if something doesn't work enable it back. Or just take it to the shop. Good Luck UJ

Do a disk clean up it will remove old and temporary files, do a disk defrag also.
