It all depends on what works for you. I like to throw a heat pack in the microwave then I place it on my neck. Some prefer to use ice however, you could try both to see what works best. Also a hot bath might help (if you have a jacuzzi the jets would be an added bonus!) You could also ask someone if they would give you a neck massage. I don't know how long it will take for the crick in your neck to go away because it varies for everyone. Another good idea to make it go away faster is to not lift anything too heavy or do anything that will put stress on your neck. Good Luck and I hope you feel better soon!

You need to see a chiropractor. If you don't have the money ice it for 15 minutes/ hour for 3-4 hours and take some advil... 2 pills 2 times/day. If that doesn't work do a hot/ cold pump. Use ice for 15 minutes than heat for 15... alternate for 2 hours. Always start and end with ice. Good luck.

I would take a very warm shower to loosen up the muscle or direct a warm hair dryer to the spot.I used to get those a lot when I was younger and that usually worked, someone once told me it was because of a calcium deficiency. But I don't know how true that is.

Did you do anything weird to cause it like sleep on it wrong? For me, it won't solve the whole problem, but it might help is a heating pad on the sore area, it'll help relax the tense muscle
