Southern, mostly African Americans' accent. I dont know up there to the North, but down here in Florida their accent is just unpleasant (at least for me), I have to sharpen my ears and ask repeatedly "what?, say that again please?", for understanding them.
I'm just not used to it, I guess I'll have to eventually.

Gee I am sure its unpleasant but a Southern drawl is hard to understand sometimes.

No question, New York, especially in city. Next would be parts of new England, like Boston.

You could sometimes swear that the speaker was chewing tobacco even if the weren't!

Either the midwest where they go nasal on the "a" sound or bastonian. IMO
