I am 10 weeks pregnant. I am not heavy, nor thin...but I have a belly now that is sticking out and my clothes are no longer fitting properly. Now, the average person couldn't tell that I am pregnant, but myself, my husband and our close friends are commenting on me "showing" I thought I was retaining water but I went for my obgyn appt today and had lost a little weight. So what is this belly?? Granted, it's WONDERFUL but that little baby is the size of a grape! When did ya'll start to show?? I thought the "norm" was like 20 weeks.

Congratulations!!! What a thrilling time for you. Yes, you actually are showing. Everyone is different and some women "show" sooner than others. Remember it isn't just your "grape sized baby" in your uterus, but all the other things in there to help your baby grow. Good luck for a very happy baby.

With my first baby I started to show in the third month. It just varies. My pregnancy now I am just starting to not fit into my regular clothes and I am in my fourth month (15 weeks). I can tell but no at work seems to be able to. Has your belly stuck out before you were pregnant? My belly did and usually I would like suck it in kind of like just hold it in a position so that it doesnt stick out as much (more on a subconcious level). But then I couldnt do that any more so it made my belly look bigger not that it was any bigger than before because your right a grape come on? But that was just me.

Congratulations!! Everyone woman is different and so is every pregnancy. So there is no real way to say when you may "show". I am not sure why you lost weight if you say you have a little pooch in your belly? As long as you are going to your ob gyn than you have nothing to worry about. I started to show at 3 months with both my pregnancy's. Try not to fuss over your belly size, it will pop soon enough and you will have much more to worry about. I wish you the best of luck on your journey through pregnancy! When the time comes to have your baby.... BE BRAVE!!! Good Luck...

Everyone is different when it comes to pregnancy. You "showing" is just your uterus growing and your body responding. I am 11 weeks pregnant with my second child and have been out of my normal jeans for 2 weeks. But second pregnancies are different than firsts. To be honest, you're so lucky. Most first time moms go through the FAT stage where you're not thin and not pregnant looking...you just look fat. Embrass the belly and learn to love maternity clothing-the best clothing you'll ever wear. You'll always look cute! On a side note: women who are carrying more that 1 baby are larger than normal...just a thought.

It's normal! I started showing at about 6 weeks! Then it stopped and I was tiny all the way through, I was only in a UK size 12 when I gave birth and walked out of hospital in a UK size 10 the day after the birth!

I was gutted, I wanted a huge bump, but was kind of glad I didn't get one afterwards ;)

All women vary, and all pregnancies, even two in the same woman, will vary.

Keep an eye on it, if you feel you are just expanding astronomically then see your doctor, it could be a sign of gestational diabetes for example, but probably not just yet.

Or it could be twins... ;)

I'm going for "it's normal" though.

Good luck and enjoy!

CG.

It typical that the more you think about your pregnancy the more you show, whats going to happen is if your losing wait more into your pregnancy then you will be all baby, your clothes may not fit but you will love the way your body looks. Believe me I'm fat. Anyway most of the belly is amuotic fluid and the babys BM's keep in mind the amuotic sac is going to be as big as the baby.
Oh and my first preg. I barely showed until the end and the Second one NOW
I am as big as a house and I'm 10 weeks too.

It depends entirely upon the woman - everyone is different. I don't think it's unheard of to start showing at 10 weeks, especially if you're on the thin side. Maybe you're just thinner than you think you are?

I know that I can't stand anything tight across my stomach when I'm pregnant, even if I'm only a few weeks along. It just drives me crazy. Other women wear their normal pants until they're 30 weeks along. Everyone does it differently. Wear whatever is comfortable and makes you feel good about your body.

oh lord no 20 weeks to show is late! lol Typically a person starts to show slightly by atleast 12 weeks so you are right on. I lost weight on all my pregnancies in the beginning but I still showed really soon. On this current pregnancy I was obviously pregnant by about 8 weeks. Its not the baby you are seeing but a growing uterus.

I showed at 8 weeks with the first and 6 weeks with the second...not a whole bunch.. but enough for me to notice. I didn't really 'pop' out though and look pregnant till 3 1/2 months.. Congradulations. I like showing early too":)
