On craftsman sockets...what does the letter mean that is above the size? (example "---V---" and "---G---")

I'm looking at two sockets with "----G----" and "-----V-----" stamped on them. Does anyone know what they mean?? Thanks!

The letters are on two different sockets...not the same one.
