try asking your apt mngr (if its female the answer will prolly be yes ) if you can leave a few brochures in the office and clubhouse. You can also try the message boards in grocery stores, take them to work and leave it on the corner of your desk, or somewhere accessible. Most women can't resist picking up an avon catalog and thumbing through. You can also see if you have a community paper with free ads, they usually limit what you can ;put in for free, but you really only need your AVON/your name/ # or maybe advertise an avon party, get a bunch of samples, set a date, and put in the ad your party date and time, and your # for RSVPing.

I used to sell Avon, and I had a client base of about 60 woman. Take your books to schools, doctors office, gyms, offer discounts to repeat customers, ie-place 9 orders, get thee 10th at a discount. If you have kids, take it to preschool, or the best one, grab a handful and start stuffing them into mailboxes. If somebody doesn't want one, believe me they will phone and let you know. Good Luck

Get business cards, if you don't already have them, and post them anywhere and everywhere you happen to be. Go out to dinner? Stick a card with your bill.
Many sites like Craigslist.org allow for free advertising as well.

well connect something important with the buyer to what your selling. Make the buyer feel like they have to get this.
