usually they may have claspers at the belly and is nornally a male shark. These are generally used for reproduction.

I believe males are supposed to have more black. HOWEVER, iridescent sharks get over 4 feet long which is WAY to big for 99% of privately owned aquariums. So unless you have at least a 1000 gallon tank, I suggest you return them now.

GET RID OF THEM. I don't even think a 1000 gallon could support two irridescent sharks, think more like 2 or 3 thousand gallons.

but as someone else said, these things get over 4 ft. long so I hope you're prepared to move the thing when it gets too big
