Because the general nature of Capitalism is based on greed and not giving a sh*t about anyone but yourself.

It only seems that way because the emphasis now is on the negative.
Throughout human history people have been greedy but noble & violent & kind. In our parents generation & before it was considered to be better to "put on a brave face" or "be shown to do the right thing". Certain events or acts just werent talked about as much and good deeds were lauded more. Now the internet & TV have hours & pages to fill it so is considered OK to concentrate on lots of negative events & attitudes.
I'm not saying that everyone is nice, it's just that no one talks about the kind people as much, just the dangerous or exciting ones. There are still people who care, you might have to look a little harder than before thats all!

it is the society we live in.....we are in the last days and things are really bad but there is so much to life that we can do now so we can be in the coming paradise after armageddon.
