Very depressing, but I love FOR REAL. by Okkervil River part of it is about cutting, so if you can't stand that sad stuff, don't listen to it.
Some none depressing songs are:
All of these things that I've done- The Killers
Andover- Bound Stems
Anything from The Shins
Citizens of Tomorrow- Tokyo Police Club
Clothes make the Man- ???
Have and Ipod?
Anything with Song of the Day, or all songs considered is great

Depending on what era of music & what do define as clean rock. MANY rock & roll songs have "controversial lyrics" to some. I like Bruce Springsteen's "Born in The USA", Rolling Stones (ALL songs), and Tina Turner's "We Don't Need Another Hero"

Blue October is an incredible band... deep, thoughtful lyrics... a few expletives here and there, but still in good taste. I love Into the Ocean and X Amount of Words
