Today the head of the players assc. said he will take the NBA to court to get the game moved away from New Orleans next year because he says N.O. couldn't handle the crowd. Does anyone else think this is true? Just think of all the other events held in N.O. throughout the years, even since Katrina. Just last week it was Mardi-Gras and there were a whole lot more crazy-@ss people in town than would ever show up for the allstar game. Does anyone else think this guy is a total idiot? Whats your opinion?

I don't think this will happen. I don't think David Stern and the rest of the NBA association have the time and or money to replace the NBA All-Star.

As for the crowd handling, I totally agree with you, this makes no sense since so many big events took place over there... But maybe they just don't have the building for that crowd...

Maybe those shows were held in places or buildings that can't welcome the All-Star game (no gym or something like that)

Anyway, I doubt it will be changed.

McGrady has spoke up agaisnt it that he won't play if it it held in NO

they don't have a lot of people there to handle security and that's the only issue with having it there

Most likely it will remain there but that security iussue WILL be addressed

I thoroughly accept as true with that reaction above me. it really is gonna be a thrilling all-star sport, sure, yet no Baron Davis, the third ranked fantasy participant interior the country. He truly leads the squaddies by each and each sport and advantages to be an all-star by a recommendations. regrettably, the balloting is only a popularity contest. optimistically the coaches would have experience and placed Baron in this one. that can make this all-star sport acceptable.
