i mean sure a machine cant you just give the dam ball to the other person and the other person gives you the pokemon in the pokeball instead of using a machine?

It's so that it is official and the pokemon is registered under the new trainers name in a big pokemon database, because if they didnt do it that way someone could trade with someone and later be all like He stole my pokemon, look it is even registered to me, which proves it is mine

I think it's so trainers can't swindle each other out of Pokemon. If I said I had a Mew in a pokeball and I only showed the pokeball, you wouldn't know whether or not I had a Mew.

When the pokemon are exchanged in the machine, you can see the sillhouetes of the pokemon, so you'd know what was in the ball.

i think that if u use the machine, it makes it official that the pokemon now belongs 2 sumone else

Because of it wasn't the show wouldn't be so boring, even though it is without it. I don't think it's used for trading. No, wait yeah it is..... I guess they're just too lazy to extend their hands, like the animators! XD!!!
