there have been so many bad winners. like rubin, fantasia, and worst of all taylor. i hate him so much cause he has no voice and is screaching half the time. wats different this year. it may be worse.

SO TRUE! I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. couldn't have said it better. I mean, WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH AMERICA TODAY? why did ppl vote for him?? taylor sucked. alot. (sry soul patrol..) I really like Chris Daughtry, but he was voted off earlier than katherine (who wasn't that bad) and taylor. I was sooo mad when I saw that. Ok well I'm sorry if I offended n e 1. This is just my opinion. I'm not criticising taylor fans, just him...haha this keeps backfiring me. I'll shutup now.

I didn't start watching until the third season. Fantasia was my favorite from the beginning. Clearly she has not had the commercial success some of the other winners have, but she hasn't done poorly. I also really like Taylor Hicks.
It might be interesting if you had listed some performers that you like. I suspect you have a fairly narrow range of musical taste where many people have rather broad tastes.
It is interesting to try to guess whole will make it and who will be cut. I have to admit I was surprised when Chris Daughtry was cut last year. I varies from week to week who I like better Chris or Taylor. I thought Katherine McPhee only had two outstanding performances, Black Horse Cherry Tree and Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I thought Chris and Taylor where very good to excellent almost every week. If it had come down to the two of them I'm not sure who I would have favored.
Of course, the other thing is the way the winners are picked. With people calling in, I think some people have stayed alive longer by having huge organized voting blocks. For example how in the heck did Antonella Barba and Aliana Alexander make it through last week. Both of the were terrible. Of course, getting mad at the show is part of the fun of the show.

First off, this year is going to be a struggle. No one other then Lakeisha really stands out. They also cut some very good people early on (before the top 24). In terms of Taylor, I dont care for him. I wanted Chris Daughtery to win. However, people out there like him. You dont have to like him in order to watch American Idol. He was different and thats why he won. You also dont have to listen to him or watch him perform. You can turn off the tv or radio. I like Rubin alot and Fantasia was good. However, I think anyone who makes it that far has to have some sort of talent. Makes me wonder if you could do it and then have others criticize you.

I disagree with you because I happen to like Ruben, Fantasia and Taylor. But that's just my opinion and your entitled to yours, and I am not gonna bash you for your thoughts. This year has been rather interesting with Lakeisha Jones and Chris Sligh being key frontrunners, and the show is always full of suprises. Besides, with all the guests such as Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, John Bon Jovi and others, it should prove to be an exciting year. Good question btw :)

It will probably be a disappointment again. I couldn't stand Fantasia from the beginning. Carrie deserved to win, but I preferred Bo. Taylor should not have won. I think I'm stupid for continuing to watch.

It has became a media circus! There is no rhyme or reason. Then again, when I look at many of the other "stars" out there I feel the same way! Where are all of the good actors and artists these days?
But, to be honest, I think the problem lies with us as the public. We are willing to settle for the crap that is called "music" these days! As long as we are willing to settle for junk like is out there today, American Idol will keep serving us the exact same type of junk!

No, i'm proper there with you! I notwithstanding i became the in effortless words female who couldn't stand American Idol, chick flicks and cleansing soap operas. Celine Dion is ineffective. The gay adult men love her notwithstanding, so I absolutely must be awesome. loL!

i agree taylor is the worst american idol so far! there were at least 5 people last year better.this year isnt setting up to pretty either i think the two best contestants are already gone. I dont even feel the urge to watch it anymore.

I don't think they are bad at all. All are good singers. The problem is they are in the media so much, that by the time one of them wins, they are old news.

I agree with you. The past few sinners have been lousy. I really hate this part where they have to keep 6 guys and 6 girls. Only the best should move on regardless of gender.
