Turn the key around in the lock with a pocket knive to its position of pullout. And remove it by gluing an ordinary paper clip to the key with Instant Set Epoxy purchased at Lowes. This is commonly used to remove car and house keys that broke off in the locks and works very well.

Try getting a small flat head screw driver and putting a drop of super glue on the tip. Be very careful to just touch the broken off key with the glue. Once it has set, carefully remove the screw driver with the key attached. Good Luck!

Probably not. If u can, take apart the lock and try tapping the key out by tapping the cylinder on a solid surface. Then again if you can take it apart then you could just put a new one in and they're about $15 - $20 at any hardware store or home center. If u can 'diy' then that would be 1/2 cost of locksmith.
