It is part of the "ring of fire" around the Pacific. It is in the Philippines. It is a cinder cone/composite formation, (as opposed to the shield type). It had a large eruption ten or fifteen years ago during which "Clarke Air Force Base " was so damaged that it was abandoned by the U.S.
