Everyone has it right. A few more details:

Thorin Oakenshield, I believe, gave him the Mithril-mail.

He took the Elven-blade Sting from the hoard of the three stone trolls.

And, of course, he found The Ring under the Misty Mountains in a tunnel-like thing near Gollum's lake.
