I currently give my snails algae wafers, dried blood worms and they really LOVE peas. But what other foods should I give them for variety?

Also they're shells are kind of deteriorating. What would be good to give them to make them stronger? I tried cuttlebone in the water but they wanted nothing to do with it. I also tried the calcium things that are really for turtles and again, they wanted nothing to do with it.

the calcium is important - they won't eat it but it will dissolve slowly and help nourish their shells.

What is fun is to take a very thin slice of a cucumber - about as thick as a nickel - and let it float on the surface. Don't ask me how but they will find it and hold on. then they will eat it from the center outward to the edges. If the snails are small enough they will drift around the tank attached to the piece of cucumber until it is nearly gone. Remove any uneaten bits of the cuc each day as they will foul the water.

Some people also feed cuttlebone (like the kind you buy for birds) to their snails for calcium (which may help with the shells). Any green vegetable they will like, also sinking fish food pellets or algae/spirulina wafers.
