Damn kid you need to pick up you speed.. You can't be a safety running a 4.9.. When I played football, I ran track, use strength shoes and the Run N Chute and alot of other things that help enhance your speed.. I put a link on there for you, when you get to the website, click on the part that says speed/agility..
Good luck kid

Flexibility is a huge thing for speed. The more limber you are the quicker your muscles react. I would suggest stretching your hamstrings.
lie down on your back, use a belt around your foot while your leg is straight to stretch your hamstrings. Then put your leg from side to side and hold it. You can do this while watching TV or something. Do it for a few long sessions each week.

Go to the gym and work on your legs. The stronger your legs the more it pushes. Just add stretching for flexibility and running add endurance and durability.

Move your elbows faster and make your stride longer. The faster your elbows move the faster your legs will move.
