When the day starts, find an abuse center or free counselling agency in your community.
You are VERY strong to have finally left this situation. Now you must stay strong in order to heal, get well & have a life.
You are suffering from the loss of the relationship. Just like the loss of any relationship. It doesn't make a difference whether it was abusive or not. The feelings you're having are normal. They just don't feel GOOD.
It's going to take time, grieving time, like a death; which is what this is, the death of a relationship. But you must have help in not relapsing & going back to the hurtful person. That is why I suggest you find someone that you can connect with; someone tangible.
Here is an 800 number to call

Best of luck to you, Dear.

You did the right thing by leaving. No one has the right to abuse another person but we have the right to choose the stay in or leave an abusive relationship but you chose right. Word of advise, stay away from websites. Ask the police or a law firm to suggest a good place in your vicinity for abused persons and whatever you do do not blame your self or go back to that relationship.

I am sorry to hear about your abusive relationship. I'm sure you have a lot of bad memories of this and unless you want to rekindle these memories you need to get into the right mindset and forget this loser. I dont know of any websites but I am sure ther are some outhere. I hope there are no children involved. If so you need to think about them as well. Be safe.

no...you need to see someone who is a professional and deals with this all the time....what you are feeling is quite common and the reason that so many women go back to their abusers and end up dead....seek professional help so that does not happen to you....good luck and stay safe
