I am sorry for your loss. However if in doubt go and see a Doc.
Its imports ant that your health is well cared for. In some cases yes your hormones do change after having a baby and then on top of that you have a loss that can also change the metabolism of your system.
I am not a physician by any mean , but if you feel something is wrong I 'd go and have a check.
Look there may not be anything, but heavens, take the time to calm yourself and busy your self with things that you enjoy doing .
Take your mind off your loss and spend the time to take care of you.

You are a very important person don't forget that, your body needs sustinance and loving . Fill your bath with beautiful bath salts and give your body a jolly good soaking. It need some gentle soaking and give the mind the same.
What you need is alittle TLC. You deserve it Your periods may stop when you stop worrying and then they will gain momentum when you have sufficiently had some TLC

I'm not sure about the anxiety pills I feel they do more harm then good. I have never been a fan of pills. They have a tendency to turn the system upside down and inside out. Keeping ones brain busy and meditating is the most comforting.
Also you yourself would know what you should do. If your a strong minded person the natural way is by far the most safest and the most calming affect. Good luck dear

Your period will be irregular after childbirth but might I add stress will make you miss a period and you have every reason to be a under a lot of stress right now. It sounds like your body needs some rest, really bad. I am really sorry for your loss but talk to your doctor about birth control, it will help regulate your periods again and you really need to wait a while before you get pregnant again having a baby takes a toll on your body and it takes a while to recover from it.

I went through the same thing only my daughter lived for 10 days in the NICU. I had bleeding for about 1 1/2 weeks then quit and started again about a week later for about a week then quit and didn't start again for over a month. I was worried too. Its most likely your hormones getting back to normal. You may want to ask your doctor to put you on birth control...that's what I did. I also started taking meds for anxiety/depression and it didn't affect my period. Just take it easy...stress can cause a late period also. I am so sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is, you are in my prayers. If you need to talk you can email me, sometimes it helps talking with someone who has been through this too. My daughter would be one this March.

Relax.
Breathe.
Stress and anxiety will sometimes affect a women such that her menstrual cycle can become disrupted. Your body is still recovering too.
A woman can only become pregnant during ovulation, so you should be aware of when your body is in that state. Go and research on the net for complete information.

I am concerned because no mention has been made as to your method of birth control. You need to discuss this with your doctor as to all your options but this is the least invasive. I do not believe that, whatever you choose, it would interfere with your other treatment and will give you some peace of mind.
Good luck, and best wishes

Let's start from the beginning:

1) You just had a baby. I'm sorry for your loss, but your body is still healing. Don't expect your periods to be completely on cycle for quite awhile!!

2) No pills are going to change your test results on a HPT. It registers a hormone that is only in your system if you're pregnant or have just had a miscarriage.

3) Are you having sex? PLEASE go to the doctor and get some contraceptives. Your body is NOT ready for another baby just yet.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter.

You didn't have a period after her, you had normal bleeding afterwards, I can't think of the name but every woman has it. Jan 24th could've been your period or it could've been a continuation of the bleeding. It's hard to tell. If it was, your body may take a while to get back to normal.

Also, in response to the other comments. Your body will get pregnant when it's ready to carry another child. However, you emotionally probably are not ready.

Sweetie, I am so sorry for your loss of your child. I, too lost a baby girl 18 months ago. She lived for 5 hours.
As for your periods, they can be irregular for some time after being pregnant and also being on different medications can also upset things as well.
My advice is, go to the doctors, maybe you can go on the pill to be regular again.
Take care,
Kim

Dont worry, Sometimes after having a baby periods go a stray. If this persists, I suggest you go to your Doctor and seek professional advice. A womans body naturally goes off balance at times, but if you are extremely concerned, consult with your doctor to answer this questions for you. You will only get mixed unresolved answers from here.

GL take care and Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. Just to let you know, it is not uncommon after having a c-section or giving birth to have irregular periods. It sounds as if from the medication you are on, you should not experience irregular periods. However, changes in hormone levels and stress can both be a result of irregularites. If you are still uncertain, you should consult with your ob/gyn.
