My son had a full head of hair when he was born, I used Johnson and Johson head to toe for the body and Johnson and Johnson Bedtime bath for his hair... That one smells soooo good. I also use the bedtime bath lotion to put on after... he had so much hair i had to wash it with shampoo it was just so long. I gave him his first bath after a week from birth.... good luck if he is fussing trying taking off your shirt so you can be skin to skin with him... or just take a bath with him... its good bonding...

No shampoo as of yet. My daughter also was born with a full head of hair, and the nurse said shampoo is not for them due to the fact that they don't produce the body oils to get the grease in their hair at that age, and it could dry out their scalp.
I used the Huggies disposable bath cloths. They have the soap already in them, all you do is wet them. They worked great for bathing them, and I didn't have to stop to try and put some soap on a wash cloth. When my daughter got old enough for a bathtub bath, I went to the Johnson's Baby Bath Wash. I didn't use shampoo on my daughter until she was over 14 months. For then, I used Johnson's Baby Shampoo (no more tears!!).
Good luck and enjoy!!

I used Johnson & Johnson's soap. For my baby shower I was given a huge bottle of Paul Mitchell shampoo for babies. He's nearly 4 and I'm still using it! LOL Unless you know your baby has sensitive skin, most any baby product should be fine. I would go ahead and shampoo his hair, but you don't need to do that often. Once a week is more than enough at that age, unless they get something in their hair.

Dove is a very good baby cleanser since it contains moisturizers. Also, shampoo baby's hair at the end of the bath so that your baby's skin doesn't get dried out from the cleanser and also so your baby doesn't get too cold. I wouldn't feel the need to bathe him every day unless he needs it or is very soothed by his baths. You also don't need to always use a cleanser or/and shampoo his hair unless it is dirty. I purchase natural cleansers that contain fruit extracts and all natural ingredients which seem to be gentler on baby's skin. All natural moisturizers work well too. Even better, get your baby used to massage with a nice massage oil. I use almond oil with some lavender extract to help him sleep. Good luck to you and your little one!

When i was a baby my mother told me she used Johnson and Johnson products. If you find some baby shampoo, shampoo it other wise you can use the same soap you used to bath him with.

Ive always loved baby magic for their body, but I find if you use anything on a baby's hair it makes the scalp get really flaky and can make cradle cap worse, it seems like once that gets going it only gets worse the more you try to make it go away. Another thing I love is instead of a baby tub bath them in the kitchen sink using a bath hammock, they re really cheap and makes handling a soapy wet baby allot easier. Have fun!

The Hospital told me to use Johnson's Baby Products and I did worse choice I ever made it dried my daughters skin out so fast it was sad! So then I tried Aveeno Baby Bath and Skin products and I'm talking heaven, they all smell fabulous and the calming products really worked my little one. Just go to your local wal-mart and in the infant section they should have a whole bunch of infant Aveeno Products even diaper rash cream's

How old is your baby? You shouldnt really go all out with a bath until about 1 month old. Use sponge bathe's before 1 month. I use johnson and johnson products. I love them. Use a small amount of shampoo (pea size) If your baby has trouble sleeping at night, give hima bath before bed and use johnson lavendar bodywash. The lavendar soothes him. good luck

Johnson's and baby magic are best. I love the smell of Baby Magic. Sure, shampoo him. And give him a big kiss for me. I love babies. Mine think they're too old for kisses, but I still sneak one in from time to time.

Johnson and Johnson Head To Toe Baby Soap. When we bath my sisters hair with it it did not sting her eyes or anything. It is gentle and its hypoallergenic. (Number One Choice of Hospitals!)
