The Nakajima B5N "Kate" and The Aichi D3A "Val" and the Zero. I am sure there is more.

to send submarines first to torpeedo boats and weaken coast a bit, and send dive bombers and torpeedo planes to sink battle ships and carrears, then sond fighters like mitsubishi zero fighters to protect them, and destroy any resistance.
it was simple, SURPRISE, BOOM BOOM BANG!!

not to forget, they attacked many other islands as well, wake, bikini, christmas, phillipines etc...

Mitsubishi 'zero's', mostly. Some 'zeke's' too, I think.
