I think it depends on the person/s involved.

Some other animal pairs mate for life, some do not. I think it's purely up to an individual's comfort level.

I know for me, yes it is what comes naturally to me. I've never cheated on a partner and I expect a commitment from my partner in return.

I know this isn't always optimal for all couples or individuals. To them I say, good for you. If an individual or couple can make an open, swinging or poly amorous relationship work for them...go for it. It's just not for me.

uh.................... i dont know. i think so. i should flip through a desmond morris book to see what he thinks.
a lot of animals have monogamous life time relationships.. im just not quite sure about most primates. i know chimps screw all kinds of other chimps.. i think a lot of the group primates do that. orangutans live solitary lives.. come breeding time, i guess they just have sex with whoever has the most potent pheromones..
we live in gigantic groups..... but........... i dont know. i guess its a little unnatural to humans, compared with the apes i mentioned above.... (but my info could very well be wrong...)

marriage yes....monogamy no.....I think its a forced act that society has pushed on us....we live monogamous lives but our minds are wondering more often then not....
