your mate may wonder why you want answers. well, don't we all need answers these days when we don't know an answer to something? try telling him/her that this isn't like a spelling bee because there is not an answer in that. thats why yahoo questions/answers was invented. introduce that person to this site and maybe that person can ask a question.
i had the same problem a while back. my mate asked me the same thing. i told him it was because i wanted to ask why its such a big deal to get a certain answer if it provide a good thing to make things better all around.
