Bertuzzi is a big guy with soft hands with a lot to prove and he's going to a team that can get him the puck in a hurry.Steve Moore was a cheap-shot third -line mucker who gooned Markus Naslund in their previous meeting. He should have had the snot beat out of him in that game. What Bertuzzi did was out of character and poorly executed. If he had knocked him out face to face, nobody would even be talking about it now.

I think the price was too high for Forsberg and Smyth. They got Bertuzzi for practically nothing and if he doesn't work out, he becomes a free agent after the season and the Wings can get rid of him then. I would have rather had Smyth too, but I don't think Bertuzzi is too bad of a deal if his back holds up.

Bertuzzi will help the Wings if he can get and stay healthy. I wish he would have just fought that dude face to face. He probably would have kicked his butt anyway. What he did was unfortunate and wrong, but he did the time. Even prisoners are eventually forgiven and let free. Give up the verbal beatings for someone who made a very poor judgment and overreacted to his captain and leader taking a cheap shot. I am not a Bertuzzi fan nor a Canuck fan.

If you're a detroit fan, I think you're supposed to like Bertuzzi just because colorado hates him. I do have to agree he's always been a jerk, and nothing short of a brain transplant would change that, though I am pretty sure he would need a brain now for that to work. You never know though it could work out. It is possible to be a massive jerk and be good at hockey.

yeah when i heard that i thought it was a bad choice. Bertuzzi isn't that good. But now Scott Parker from the AVs and Bertuzzi can go at it, make for some good games. Oh well, have fun w/ Bert.
Go Avs!

Bert the Hurt.... What a loser. He's been riding that one good year he had for far too long now, Vancouver was smart to get rid of him, Florida was stupid to grab at him, but you can almost see how they were fooled. But Detroit? A hockey players hockey team? How could they see any potential in this guy? I sure hope they know something we don't.....

because it's a win win situation. If he comes back from the injury and plays great hockey, yay. If not, it only costs them one player and they keep the draft pick. They need some muscle and he's a goon that can score

What a waste. The man is not even playing. He will affect the chemistry of the team and not in a good way. He's a grump. I think Ken Holland has lost it!!
