No, not at all. I'll give you another tip though. I've had my white ceramic cook top for 6 yrs. and there's not a scratch or mark on it. I used to use Cerama-brite but it's expensive, then someone told me about cream VIM and it's exactly the same formulation. Now though, I just dampen the cooktop, sprinkle baking soda on it and I use the Golden Fleece or those green fibre scouring pads. It cleans up like a dream. (ps. another tip - beauty tip - use baking soda with a little of your favorite facial cleanser to exfoliate your face and body (upper arms bumps) I got this tip from a dermatologist and it works wonderfully. It's non-abrasive and the right ph.)

No, I don't think so. I use Golden Fleece for practically everything, and have never had a problem with it.
