I just had my baby girl 2-12-07. I was so anxious for her arrival since the beginning of January I was walking through every mall, eating spicy food, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING to get her out! I went through the whole nesting stage HARD!! I was Lysoling EVERYTHING all her clothes were washed and ready, and no one was allowed to touch anything of hers unless their hands were washed and that had Purelled their hands as well. I went crazy... my due date was 2-06-07so she came late.... even more crazy!! The only reason i went into labor was because i thought that i was leaking (it was only a discharge) and i went to the hospital... they did an exam.. and it sent me into labor an hour later... of course that had sent me home because at the time i was only 1 cm and 80% thinned. I got home at 9pm and at 10:15 i started bleeding and contractions were beginning... I made it through the night (nearly killing my husband because he slept all night and i was up having contractions) (my biggest thing i can tell you about the pain is know how to breathe... and all those movies you see where shes holding her husband/boyfriends hand... trust me as much as you love him all your gonna want to do is hold the bed rail, concentrate on a spot on the ceiling and BREATHE.. if you dont it hurts even more!!!) Finally i woke him up at 6am to him complaining that he didnt get enough sleep... blah blah blah... GET IN THE CAR AND DRIVE! he got the clue and once we got to the hospital again i was completely thinned and 3 cm. by 1:42 pm I was holding my little girl in my arms. Its worth the wait.. and when you get home all that "nesting" you did will be trashed a day later... enlist help from you mom is at all possible!!

YES! It happened to me my both pregnancies. In the last one my baby was due on December 26th/06 but my mucus plus broke in mid November the little sucker wanted to come out soon. And i had begun nesting since October really going crazy preparing and ordering stuff and crying when things didn't get here. I was a pain for everyone. But lucky I was cause my baby came December 7 and I was ready. remember the baby can come now at any time so the more things you have ready now the better and that includes your hospital bag. Good Luck with the baby!

I am due April 5th and am feeling the same way. I feel like I am going stir crazy. I have cleaned the house I don't know how many times. I want to go in his room and do so much but there is nothing to do. I want to put together the swing but I know I don't need it right away. I am just ready to have my baby here. I think I will go early. I have already packed my labor bag 3 different times in the last 2 weeks. Just hang in there. We will be done soon. Good luck and ongrats

oh my god!
i was like this, i must of inspected everything 100 times i would clean all my babys clothes and folded them and put them away every few days in the last month - It was like i had OCD (not like that now lol A good day is when at least one member of my family hasnt got baby sick on there shoulder or dribble down there front!)
The day before i went into labour i had my poor hubby dragging everything out of the nursery into our room so i could set up 'nest' closer to us.
Its completly normal - lol so they say, but yes i was like a deranged woman moving and rearranging every 5 minutes!

Not long now - dont worry it will happen when it happens, just get plenty of rest (your gonna need it) and congratulations! xx

I had this with both my babies. I was like some kind of lunatic, rushing round the house dusting and on all fours cleaning every last bit of floor. Its like something manic comes over you and you got to get everything done...like NOW! Your Mum is right (arent they always) it is nesting! Not long to go now, enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and goodluck for a quick and easy labour x

I cleaned my mothers house from top to bottom about a week before I gave birth to my daughter, and I am not the cleaning type at all!!! Once I even walked over to any empty crib to pick up a baby that wasnt even there yet, this was about a day or two before the big day!! congrats!

I was like that for a weeks before I had my baby, the night I went into labour I had cleaned the fridge and cooker, mopped floors, hoovered, done laundry, dusted and polished and basically tieded or cleaned everything in the house. Take it easy though. You'll need your energy for the labour and night feeds

Take advantange of that burst of energy now! You may fizzle out before you go into labor. Cook some meals and stick them in the freezer - you will be so glad you did!

There's something about those last few days of pregnancy that is so special. You're so huge you're nearly miserable, but as each day passes, you get closer and closer to meeting your little one. I love it!

I'm due 5th May and doing that too. Tidying drawers and re-arranging them is one thing I'm doing.
Also I am making lists of everything, I did do this before I was pregnant but I seem to be doing it more now. I'm obsessed!
Good Luck!
