Baltimore is not that dangerous. If all you're doing is parking and walking to the venue you'll be fine, as long as you don't go wandering down to any corners trying to buy drugs.

I understand your moms feelings because 14 years old is pretty young to travel far for a show, but if you're going with older people who will look out for you you'll be fine.

Which venue is the show at? I can give you a better idea of the neighborhood based on that.

You are far too young to be going to a concert that far away from your home. There is no way that I would have ever let my child/children go to a concert that far away from home.

Baltimore is infamous for being a very dangerous and high-crime city.

Sorry, but I'm 100% behind your Mom on this one, and who are you thinking of getting a ride with....You could not be expecting someone to be driving you that distance and using a lot of gas for free.

Unless there is a responsible adult over the age of twenty-one who can attend the concert with you, you should give up on this adventure. You may think that you are very responsible, and you may well be. You are not able to deal with all the things that can go wrong on such a trip.

Well if you were my 14 yr old I would not let you go either. It is too far away for a concert for someone your age. There is to much that can happen to you and I am sure your mother knows this and she is only saying no to protect you. There will be more concerts later on and maybe closer to home. Sorry I know that is not what you wanted to hear.

6 hrs or not I certainly would not let my son or daughter go either Sorry. However why don't you take a couple of friends or even you mother.
I know this may sound ac hive but she is only thinking of your safety. Safety in numbers as they say. It's called mothers love.
Failing that have a chaperon come along You know an older but wiser Aunt that has the same taste in music.

If its just the music that's cool but if its for another reason well you can say toddles to that one.

Don't tell her that you are responsible, show her. Start taking on liberties you don't usually do. Do stuff without being asked and that whole thing. If you show her she might think that you are able to conduct an handle yourself in any type of situation. If that doesn't work let her know that an adult is going with you andd give her a list of things you will be doing for every hour. Show her that you aren't half heartedly thinking about something and show her that you are responsible. It will be hard because i am 14 and my mom knows i'm responsible because of alll the activities i'm envolved in and i show her by keeping straight a's and such things.

Well the fact that your 14 is really hurting not to mention Baltimore was named the number one most dangerous city last Year , sadly I live like 15 minutes from it.

The only way I see you going is if you mom goes along or an adult she knows and trust goes with you.

My parents freaked about me going to a concert when I was 14...and it was only 25 minutes away. Now that I'm a mother of a soon-to-be-13-year-old, I can see why they freaked.

The only way you could possibly convince them is if an older girl or someone's parent were escorting you.

Guranteed convincer: show then an online review or the band and/or lyrics (I dont allow the f-bomb for any reason) and then if it passes that test, take her with you (or a friend and her mom)....thats the only way someone who is 14 goes to a concert around here....
