Maybe you are asking about condensation?

Condensation is a common thing that happens everyday. This is what happens when water condenses on a cold glass.

What is happening is the surface of the glass is at a temperature less than what is called the dew point. The dew point is the temperature at which the water vapor in the air will condense back to a liquid form.

The dew point changes with the temperature of the air and how much water vapor is in the air.

An interesting fact is when there is fog the air temperature and dew point are at the same temperature.

Other chemicals also condense when the temperature and concentration is correct for the process to happen.

This is how crude oil is distilled into the various products (gasoline, fuel oil, etc) that come from oil. Once the crude oil is vaporized each of the particular products have a different temperature at which they condense allowing refiners to capture the products they want.

Hope that helps

Perhaps you mean condensate, which are chemicals that fall out of solution in a chemical reaction.
