Here's the link to the best article re: eyebrow shaping I've found:

Take it very slow and check frequently so you don't over do it or create bald spots. Focus on removing the "stray" hairs below the brow above your lid and stick with a natural look. An perfect, dramatic arch is very hard to achieve on oneself.

BTW plucking used to really irritate my skin & I've found a few things that help:

1. Good tweezers - Tweezerman are the best. Really good tweezers help you get a good grip & pluck in one tug.

2. Plucking after a shower when my pores are open & my skin is free of makeup, moisturizer.

3. Following up with toner.

4. Cleaning tweezers with alcohol.

5. Using chilled aloe vera gel to sooth my brows after I'm done.

If your brows aren't too bushy, you could just skip plucking, etc.

Instead, use a lash/brow comb and comb your eyebrow hairs upward. Trim any long ones that really stick out with small cuticle scissors. Trim individual hairs & take it slow. Step back and check the results frequently.

You can use a clear brow gel to shape them and keep them in place. Maybelline makes a good one.

get some nice tweezers that are somewhat sharp and grippy. pull your eyebrows up so they are flat against your head. pluck out the hairs that seem lighter or finer than the others...or if they seem out of the shape from the rest of the hairs. if you pinch the hair close to the root, it won't hurt as much. try to get all of the hairs that are out of place...don't try to shape them any certain way, everyone has their own natural shape of their brow, and once you pluck out all the stray hairs, you will begin to see the natural curve of your eyebrow. if for some reason you pull out too many hairs, and your eyebrows don't look as full or dark as they should, you can just shade in the parts with a light brown eyeliner pencil. i hope i was able to help you! <3 good luck!

You can buy wax strips that are made for eyebrows, and they usually have a guide with them. It's better to get a friend to help you with it because it is quite painful, and one side might look different then the other.
