I am writing a persuasive essay on why I believe cats make better pets than dogs. One of my arguments is that you seem to notice the odor and noise of canine flatulation more so than felines'. Why is this? Does anyone have some factual evidence that would help me out? If you do, that would be great! Thank you very much!

You're wrong anyway.. cats dont make better pets than dogs nor vice versa... they both make very different uniquely enjoyable pets. Just in case you didnt know, cats do fart and it does stink just as bad as a dog except a cats likely to be sitting in your lap when they let one rip, and not only that cats have worse breath than dogs do.. ANNNNDD a litterbox stinks more than any dog or any 10 dogs for that matter. I have 2 dogs and 4 cats and I can honestly say cats make alot more mess and hassle than dogs do.. first you have hairballs, litter crumbs, spraying, claw sharpening, innapropriate elimination(which I might add is the #1 behavioural problem in cats) the 3AM crazies, and not to mention their insatiable curiosity that makes them break, chew, steal any interesting object that isnt out of harms way...it doesnt make them better or worse pets than dogs.. it just makes them typical cats.

Cats are obligate carnivores. The stench of meat eaters of this nature is far in advance of any other organism. In a word; cats stink!!
