you should wait...don't get involved in the relationship he's in now or he won't want to talk to you.

Good question.
Whenever a breakup occurs, there's always a bit of "cleaning house" to do emotionally. Its a natural stage in life. Don't rush this, or else you'll bring "baggage" to a next relationship without meaning to. I've known girls that rush from one boy to the next and end up just stacking up the baggage and ruining each relationship with it.
What you should do is forget about boys for a bit. Yea, seriously. It's gonna be hard, but you gotta focus on you for a bit. Spend extra time with your hobbies and with your friends and family. Even if this wasn't a heart breaker, you're still gonna deal with some strange feelings. That's normal.
If you do this, here's what will happen:
You'll have the "breakup anxiety" for a bit longer but that'll gradually be replaced by another emotion, joy. When you've really let go of a person entirely, a certain freedom and relief comes with it. It's very pleasant. When you get to this stage (and you'll know when you're there), you're ready to date again.

You said he broke up w/ u... So you still like him? You could try the whole jealousy thing, but then you be hurting another guy. Maybe you should wait a couple of weeks before hopping back on the love train. Phyciatrises( or however you spell that word) say you should wait 3 months, but that's too long for most. but going through guys like machine gun bullets isn't too great either. I say wait a while. At least a couple of weeks.

I was in the same situation. My boyfriend dumped me and he got hisself a girlfriend so I tried to go out with someone and I felt bad because I was not over my ex. So I would say give yourself time to get over him and then start dating and you will feel better. I don't think that it is nothing wrong with talking to another guy but let hime know that you were just in a relationship.

If you like another guy then go ahead and ask him out. If you don't then don't just go find someone. Wait for the right person to walk into you life.

If you are done with him.....go out!!! The only reason someone would not go out with someone else after breaking up with a boyfriend, husband(divorce), Separation, etc......is because they still have feelings for them!!!
You should not even wonder what he is doing!!! Just concentrate in your own life and have fun until you can't anymore!!

i think you should wait a while before going back out there. i have done that and i hated it cause i still had feelings for that other person. you need to wait and just recover from this first and then go back and find a good guy for yourself.

Never ever ask a guy to take you out the first time; give him hints that you are interested then let him pop the question. Good luck.

depending on how long you were in a relationship, you need to give yourself time to heal, otherwise you will just be choosing the next guy while youre on the rebound....

maybe you hold off from getting a bf just now but show him how well you get along with the boys (just hang around w/ them and flirt) and maybe he will get jealous and write a mushy gushy love letter...
