Sourav Ganguly has proved to be the best captain of India because he has wom many matches as captain than Rahul Dravid

Sourav Ganguly is the best captain of Indian cricket. The other players who can compete with Ganguli are Azaruddin, Gavaskar, Kapil Dev & Wadekar.
But considering the all facts and figures Ganguly is undoubtably the "best Captain" India ever produced.

Rahul Dravid.
He has won over 56% matches in which he has captained India in ODIs. Only 2-3 were against minnow teams. So that means he has a success rate of 54% against top teams.
Kapil Dev and Sourav Ganguly have 51% and 48% respectively success rates against top teams (other top 8 - Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies)

when seeing at the result and stats angle, rahul dravid has a slight edge over ganguly.. but in my opinion ganguly is the best captain for india because he inspired a team which was low on confidence.. he boosted the morale of the team.. he was quite aggressive on and off the field which team india required much then.. he bore the grunt of many officials for the sake of the team and he made india a team to watch out for.. india was feared under his captainship.. but rahul flattered with the inspired team he got over from ganguly.. he lacked the aggression to take india forward.. but at present the boys are shaping up well and lets see how they perform under rahul in the world cup..
