Cant women suffering with PCOS get pregnant naturally without having clomid?What are the chances of getting pregnant and chances of miscarriages with clomid.Also can prenatal vitamins reduce the chances of miscarriages.

Take heart! I was diagnosed with PCOS after suffering from severe symptoms since I was 12 years old. While taking Metformin and while on birth control, I conceived our first child. (My guess is that the birth control raised my hormonal levels to something more normal allowing me to be fertile and wasn't really working as birth control for me.) Currently, I am 16 weeks pregnant.
Certainly, this isn't the norm, but many women are able to conceive once they find a treatment that works. Metformin in early pregnancy can also help to reduce miscarriage in women with PCOS. (Although it's hard to stomach the meds and morning sickness...)

Yes, they can get pregnant w/o Clomid but it's harder. I don't know the rest. Prenatal vitamins don't really reduce the risk of miscarriage. Miscarriage typically happens w/o much real reason.

It is harder to get pregnant with PCOS. I'm 16 and last year my gyn told me that I need to take birth control (Yaz) right up until I want to get pregnant so that the disease won't develop as much, I'm not sure what your's has said but getting pregnant is difficult anyhow... Don't try often as it lowers your partners sperm count and makes it even harder... talk to your doctor about natural methods to get pregnant.. I'm not sure at all about misscarriages, they're a risk in everyone's pregnancy, a prenatal vitamin certainly couldn't hurt...
