now im trying to reinstall windows media player 10, and its just not happening, keeps saying something like format not supported or something like that, please what do i need to do???

Well first you would have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11. Then you can reinstall Windows Media Player 10. Go to add/remove program and uninstall it.

I had that problem too but I learned to just deal with it. With that said I have good news and bad news
good news
Download.com has older versions of WMP

WMP 10 is not one of the options WMP 9 is though

I think I read somewhere that if you remove the
Windows Media Format 11 Runtime
from the add/remove programs list
that WMP will revert back to WMP10

worth a shot
the worst that could happen is that you have to reinstall WMP9 from download.com
