No you aren't too young. I started using them on my first period. I was in Florida and I really wanted to go into the water! I used up a whole box trying, but it is worth it!! I like to use platex sport tampons. They are really comfortable. I like kotex pads. They aren't as noisy to open as Always! And they work about the same. You arent too young! Go to www.beinggirl.com. It really helps! -Rayna F.

You don't state how old you are but one way you can try to ease some of the flow is to increase the amount of iron that you take in during your period such as by eating peanut butter (one of the safe brands of course) if you aren't allergic to peanuts of course, or raisins or spinach and such if you like them. Doing this will help you with energy levels and also ease some of the cramping if you are having any of that.

Check with your dr for additional ideas on this aspect.

As for pads, I would recommend Always. As for tampons (depending on your age) I would recommend the OB kind only because you won't have to mess with a cardboard applicator like with the Tampax and that's in addition to their size.

Again check with your dr to see what they say when it comes to additional ideas.

Your not too young to use tampons.
Trust me, i've been using them since i was 12 and i'm almost 14.
Pads are a real pain.
I would reccomend using tampax pearl.
they come i lites, for people with a lite flow.
Just remember to relax. :]

your not too young to wear tampons.I think the beast kind of tampons are tampax pearl.if your flow is heavy buy super if your flow is not heavy buy regular.i think pads are better.i tried to use a tampon but it hurt and i was 11 years old.i started mine at 9 years old.the best kind of pads are always.you should get the pads that are long and have wings.

No you are not too young to use tampons, but if you are going to try it I would recommend getting the smallest ones first. It can be a bit tricky til you get the hang of it.

I have been told by my doctor to just use pads because it prevents infections from occuring down there. I just use the brand always pads and have never had a problem.

It's a personal choice. I started using them at 13. Change ever few hours, use the lowest possible absorbency, and don't worry about it.

Yellow on your knickers is subjective. If it incredibly is brownish yellow then particular yet yellow discharge sounds infectious. once you era is over be certain you dont see this nastiness on your drawers.
