It means they have been released from their contract with the WWE. This does not mean however that they are not allowed to come back and wrestle for the WWE. They can come back if things have improved between the wrestler and the WWE. All WWE released superstars have a mandatory 90 no compete claus in their contracts, so they are not allowed to go wrestle for the competition. Hope this helps you out.

means they can go wrestle else wheres cause their contract has expired and they was not resigned or they was fired or released from their contract before it was up case wwe wanted it that way or because of something they done

it means there contract has been cut quicker than the contract expired or their contract expired and they didnt get resighed
