Is there a difference between the conductivity of deionized water and tap water? Exlpain.?

Deionized water has no ions to carry the current and should have a very high resistance. Tap water has ions and will have a lower resistance.

deionizeds has its ions removed which lowers the amount of electricity it can conduct

tap water contains many dissolved particle this helps it conduct better
