I was in dance class and on this one particular day i decided to wear my leggigngs. I thought i would be able to spilts like i'm normally able to without the leggings having any affect on me. i went down and all of a sudden i heard this cracking like a cracking you would hear while cracking your knuckles or neck it was so weird. I've done this type of stuff before for cheer but don't understand what went wrong. What do you guys think and how long do you think it will take me to heal.

It's hard to say with an injury like that...... do you have any bruising? swelling? feel free to message me if you want

Ice the leg 15 minutes/ hour and repeat 3-4 time/ night for a week or so. Take 2 advil in the evening for 3-5 nights. Drink lots of water. Believe it or not you should stretch the hamstrings every day and keep working them. The stretches will keep you from forming scar tissue in the muscle. Do this for at least 2 weeks. If you are still pretty bad in 2 weeks or more go see a chiropractor, PT, or orthopedic MD. Ultrasound will work well for torn muscles. Good Luck!
