They are the epitomy of an "American Punk Band"! They're from California. For all of the people that said Green Day sucks, they might want to check their facts....They have won 3 Grammy awards, not something a shitty band could ever dream of doing. People need to remember that just because you don't care for a particular style of music doesn't mean it's not good music. If you don't like their new stuff check out the old stuff from the early nineties! You will love it!!!

No, they grew up in California. My pastor's son is really close friends with them all, so they're family has known them for a very long time.
