just remember that all those measurements are estimates. I used to have a neighbor that was put on bedrest because she was measuring small, her baby was JUST FINE
if your doctor's not worried, then try to relax a little bit. You might be measuring small, but baby might not be!

I am currently pregnant with my third child. I have been told that with two of my children. A lot of times the baby is position weird or just tiny until your last two weeks of your pregnancy. With my current pregnancy, I'm 37 weeks and I measure 35 but according to the ultrasound I am 33 1/2. Don't let that worry you, the baby will be healthy. If this last test comes back different ask for an amniocentises. This test will tell the true date.

My baby was IUGR like you said, she measured 8 weeks behind and was born 4 weeks early(at 36 weeks). She was almost 6 lbs. I had doctors appointments 3x a week for fetal assessments and if at any of them she wasn't doing ok they would induce me. I also had to count 10 movements after every meal or I had to go to the ER because she could have been in trouble. But given all the hassle, and all the fear/stress she was born fine. No problems, just turned a year old and is perfect. If you have any more questions, I also work in the medical field and become very educated on IUGR when I had it just email me and I will answer anything. Just try to relax, it will be fine. HeatherOhr@yahoo.com Good luck!

My daughter had a child last February, who just turned a year old, and she had the same problem. When she was 36 weeks, her baby weighed approximately 3.5 lbs. They put her on bed-rest and had her lay on her side for two weeks to try and help the baby gain weight. When her little girl was born at 38 weeks, the baby weighed 5.1 lbs and was 16 inches long. The baby had absolutely no problems with breathing, etc. She was just diagnosed with failure to thrive. She is still a small little thing, but is doing great. She crawled when she was due to. She is pulling up now at 12 months and trying to walk. Your baby will probably be just fine. Maybe just a small baby.

I had the same, don't panic, nothing's wrong, especially if you're not that big-figured and if they baby's heart rate is normal. For me, they did the ultrasound and found out that it could be because I have a small amount of fluid around the baby - I started to worry about that too, but they told me to drink more water and rest a little bit more (better on the left side), I did it and everything came to normal. I mean, my baby is still not big, but they're saying everything looks normal and she seems to be healthy. I wish you good luck and my advice to you - trust your doctors and don't panic beforehand.

if your really worried ask your doctor to give you a ultrasound to check the size. I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant and my baby measures up to size, I guess, but I've only gained 9 pounds from start to now and I'm still wearing my normal jeans. The doctor gave me a ultrasound last week and found out everything is ok. every pregnancy is different and I guess this one should be super special for you, it's ok you only got a month to go! Congrats, aren't babies cute?!

The ob doctor told my daughter today he didn't see any need to measure at this late in pregnancy because the baby drops and is low and causes the measurements to be off. although he measured anyway so I wouldn't worry to much

Don't stress your at a point now that you could deliver a completely healthy baby anyway if they had to induce you today. LIke people babies grow differently and at different times. DOn't give it a second thought.

first stop and breathe. you getting upset is not good for the baby so calm down. Did the doctor tell you something was wrong? If there was something they would tell you so relax and do not dream up trouble for yourself.
