Post a services notice in the newspaper stating your fee and what you have to offer

Put an add in the local grocery store on the cork board with your fee and what you have to offer

Put it out there by word of mouth and tell everyone you know, especially the elderly what you have to offer and your fee

Then wait. I wish you were in Illinois, so you could mow my giagantic lawn with a big hill this summer

Dont let people rip you off. Charge by the lawn and extra for weeding and extra for any difficulty in the lawn mowing process

If needed put together a contract on paper and have the fee filled in and any extra's including a damage waiver, so if you accidentally cut down someones peonie plants, they dont refuse to pay you. Be specific in the contract. Some people screw you over because you are young.

All of the above are great and just the advise you need, but as for your mental status:
Keep thinking of the thing that you want to get and let it motivate you. I used to do the same thing at that age and there will come times when you just do not feel like going out and working. When this feeling hits you have to fight it- get out there and do your thing.... it will be well worth it. It seems that you have all the right equipment, just make sure that you take pride in your work and it will show. Word of mouth from you clients can be the best advertising that you have.

I was skeptical as anyone would be at first, but then it started to make a little here and there. 3 weeks in and its at about 100 a week, so the 14.95 price was well worth it.

Place flyers in people's mailbox's advertising your service. I would charge $25 an acre.

I would knock on neighbors door and tell them you are mowing lawns.
