With the darker color, apply to the crease of your eyelid and on the outer corner of your eyes. Use the lighter shade on the eyelid and brow bone. Invest in some nice makeup brushes the sponges don't give you a polished look. It harder to control the color with the sponges...only use to retouch when out and about than use as the only applicator. Use a touch of the blush you are using on your brow bone too....to coordinate your look as well as adding deepth to your eyeshadow.

The cone shaped applicator is for applying the darker shade onto your crease. Doing so creates depth and drama.
