Have you tried holding you breath... you know until you turn blue, like a child. Cuz that's what you sound like... if you are a responsible teen who "needs" a phone, then you should be out there getting a job to pay the phone bill..... Otherwise, you should try asking your mom for change to use the pay phone, that way you won't have to use her cell phone....A Cell phone is a privilege not a right.... try earning it from her, and give up trying to convince her to let you have one.

Well start growing hair on your lips and chin and if she wants you to cut it bad enough, she will buy you a razor. LOL Ooops, you meant razr, sorry. I would just keep borrowing her phone and have her friends call you on her cell all the time. Also if there is a pocket or cricket phone company in your area, let me know.

I am going to be 16 in a few weeks and I got a cell phone in january. My mom got one for my brother and I so we can keep in touch with her. I got mine through Alltel and we have a good plan. I wouldn't start with a razr though go with something small and inexpensive and wait until you can make payments and then u can upgrade.

sit down with your mom and have a chat with her. whatever you do, don't yell, accuse or raise your voice. and with the parents i had, i realize how difficult that can be at times. explain to them the benefits of you having a cell phone. really stress on the fact that you will be able to communicate with them on where you are, who you're with, and if plans change you'll be able to let them know. also bring up how they can call you too ;) do not say things like "well all my friends have one" they don't care and that can backfire on you and your parents could just say ,well if all your friends have a phone, why would you need one to call me just borrow theirs.
bring up things that have proved your maturity, such as prolonged good grades in school, things of value you haven't lost or damaged, like an ipod or a dog. if you have a job, maybe throw that in there too.
bring up a payment plan and discuss terms of it, like texting and minutes. maybe the reason they're saying no is just because they're afraid you'll go crazy and run the bill up. talk to them about how you understand how many minutes you'd have and how you would budget them appropriately. like no calls before the free nighttime minutes unless they were free mobile to mobile or an emergency. once you get the phone you don't have to stick to it like glue, but honoring what you said you would do is important to prove you weren't just lying to get what you wanted.
i did stuff to prove to my parents i was responsible enough for a phone. my mom receiving more calls that were for me on her phone than for herself also sorta convinced her it was time lol
good luck on this!!

Tell her that owning one ensures you are always in touch with her as well as everyone else and that they are also a necessary safety item in this modern world.
=====================================
What about paying five-ten quid for a sim card and at least show to her you are responsible enough to pay for calls when you borrow her phone. Then she'll trust you to own one.
