Cheerleading is a sport... and its the best sport... I have been a cheerleader for 10 years and have suffered 3 knee surgeries 4 broken noses, a torn rotator cuff and muliple head injuries... Cheerleading has the highest fatality rate of all sports combined... what other athletes do you know that can throw a double full layout AND throw a girl 25 feet in the air? Cheerleading takes alot of dedication and strength.. you go girl .

I'm a guy and I agree it is somewhat of a sport but <3 is wrong with "cheerleading is also the only sport that uses all the muscles in your body." Swimming uses all parts of your body too. Water polo. Wrestling. Mixed Martial Arts. Theres more but i cannot name them all. Don't hurt yourself cheer leading though.... People have died from it and it is the top 15 most dangerous sports out there.

So...that's not really a question is it? You're just trying to convince everyone that cheering is a sport. Which I agree with, being an ex cheerleader.

cheerleading is definatly a sport. i have been a cheerleader for the past 15 years so i know what im talking about. but i do have to say not all cheerleading is a sport, like school cheerleading...definitly not! you dont know how to even do a kartwheel to become a school cheerleader. i think that they only cheerleading sport is competitive/allstar.

YES! I'd like to see some people tumble, jumps like toe touches and herkies and a lot more. You might think we're stupid girls in skirts that say "Go team" but we do A LOT more. I would like to see all the people who say rude stuff about us cheerleaders try to throw someone up in the air and catch them with out dropping them or i would like to see them do tumbling, like back handspring, back tucks, aerials and stuff like that. Cheerleading is the most dangerous sport in the U.S. right now and cheerleading is also one of the only sport that uses all the muscles in your body.

I must agree with you, cheer-leading is definitely a sport. I get exhausted just watching some of the routines.

It is but not much of one. So is the luge and I dont see anyone chomping at the bit to watch it. The only reason to watch is the off chance of watching them fall or possibly a good butt shot!
