cingular is a great cell phone provider. i had one problem with my phone where the sim-card locked down the whole phone and the only number i could dial was 911. so i went into cingular and told them about my problem, they replaced the card for FREE!!, which a new one would have been like $30. also, if you are looking for a good service network, go with cingular because ive never had a dropped call and always had service. the only time i dont have it is when im in a brick building, all the way in their basement. so other than that, ive never had any problems. good luck with your search

The best way to decide is to use a phone from each carrier in your home/work. It is possible that you could live in a "deadzone" meaning there are no cell phone towers in your area. My own personal experience is that T-Mobile phones work best in rural areas close to the major cities across the U.S. and like stated by other have cheaper plans with better phones. I've also heard that T-mobile offer cheaper plans with more minutes do to the amount of dropped calls. I've also heard cingular offers "rollover" for the same reasons. I personally use verizon and with my samsung phone have never dropped a call. Again I suggest using a friends phone in your home to test the signal or take advantage of the 15 days worry-free that these carriers offer to try out the phones.

It really depends on where you live and who gets better service but I say the Cingular is better. I had a lot of trouble with T Mobile.

Cingular is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, now that it is part of the AT&T network of companies. I use them, and I have little to complain about.
