My idea of great things in life seems to alter year after year.
When the kids where little having time to do the washing up would have been heaven.
Now the kids have left home and one of them has gone to Uni I would be happy to be able to stop working full time (Uni fees dont pay themselves though)
My greatest goal would be to actually have the time to potter in the garden and be able to go shopping when I wanted and not have to do my own decorating (although I would miss doing it)
I am sure as a 17 year old I wanted higher things such as a career or riches or a gorgeous man but life tends to make you more practical and enjoy the tamer things in life.
Reading this I sound ancient, I`m not I just happen to like the simpler things in life

Doesn't everyone want great things in life? I sure do. If I can live a life where I don't struggle to make ends meet, where I can do fun things for myself and my family that we all enjoy, if I can raise my kids to be emotionally healthy and successful adults, and if I can make a positive contribution on the lives of others, then I will have experienced the great things in life that I am looking for.

I have all I need--a great man, great kids, a job that pays my bills with some extra for fun stuff, my own house, a wonderful family and supportive friends.
I have a lot to be grateful for!
