The first episode was a perfect story, just great. I felt they could have tried harder with the second one- it disappointed me in some ways... sure, there were some pretty good scenes- like the sword fight on the water wheel, and the start with Jack rowing away in the coffin, that was pretty cool... but it wasn't as fulfilling as the first. It wasn't as pure. I mean, c'mon, the first is great by itself, but no-one can say that the second one is complete... now you have to watch the third film to make sense of it... Couldn't they have just made a classic like the first... I felt tricked.

I watched both and I found that the second is the best, personal opinion. The graphics are cool and more action. The sound is also great to listen too on a surround sound system, try it. The first, I would say it was more an opening to the story of The Pirates of... The first one is less computerized and more acting which is almost rare today. Both are great adventure action movies which I like.
