Emawee, ignore your daddy, he has no sense of fashion. My whole wardrobe is extremely short skirts and very very tight jeans. They are expensive and look good. That's what counts.

Your dad's problem with the skirt is not stupid. Even though you think you are grown, you'll always be his baby girl. And to me it does sound like that skirt was too short, 7 inches above the knee, yep, that's too short. Sorry. Try to respect your Dad and also see what your Mom thinks about it, but don't make it into something they can fight about. Instead of telling her that your Dad said it's too short, just ask her if she thinks it's too short. And don't listen to the people who are telling you to sneak and change into it at school, you don't want your parent's to loose their trust in you, and you will eventually get caught.

If you're breaking the dress code then you're behaving extremely childish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your dad has every right telling you your skirt is too short!
Your dad is only doing his job. Do you really have a problem when someone cares about you................................
Wearing things too short will only cause problems and you need to stop behaving like a spoiled brat and appreciate suggestions from those who care for you the most!

well it is just dependes how old you are, if you are older than 14 and its only 7in above the knee i really dont know what the big deal is, but i live with my grandparents and they are always saying something about my clothes. i am seventeen years old you would think i get to choose how i dress. its not worht arguing so my advise is just dont wear the skirt or other short skirts in his eyes on days you go with him

Well, obviously your skirt is too short if it goes against the dress code. Think REAL hard next time. Sorry to say that kiddo.

I have the same problem 2 but it's wit my mom. She's always telling me 2 change if the pants have a rip under the butt and if the skirt is 2 short. Parents r so stupid and they live in the 19th century. Wat i would do is just change and bring extra clothes wit u places incase u get caught. And 1 more thing, don't argue cause he'll just get mader!

its too short for school sooner or later a teacher will bust you, wear it on dates or at the mall just not at school, some teachers really care about the dress code

lol, its ok im sure almost every dad's like that. your skirt sounds really cute but if its still in dress code for your school, then id wear it. we cant wear skirts more then like 3 in. above out knee and we cant wear leggings either. :)

All daddies love their girls, and become super-protective of them from the moment they hold them.
The entire problem is that your dad knows what boys your age are thinking when they see you in a skirt that short, and you don't. Your dad wants the boys to see you as a person, not as a sex object. And frankly, you should want that, too.

i am just going to say- i know girls like you. i'm not one, but i get it. you want to wear what you want, right? i know. but your dad wants you to respect yourself and not to go around looking like a slut. so, you should check your school's dress code. are you breaking it? second, what does your mom think? if she agrees with your dad, then maybe they are both right. third, why do you wear the skirt. is it because you want attention, and to look cool, or is it because you really like the skirt. fourth, did you buy it with friends? would you buy it if they weren't there? some ideas..

It's not knee-to-skirt gap that matters, it's skirt's height itself.
That and sexieness level.
I broke the dress code a few times and they never caught me!
