If the adminstration doesn't get the money they want, it's because the congress "Doesn't support the troops."
If the congress votes to not support failed strategy, they're "not supporting the troops."
Is there any evidence that this adminstration has a new idea - a real change in strategy? Are we so blind that we can't see that a flat increase in troops will only increase the number of veterans we must care for later? I'd rather have them at home, protecting us here.

Bush-supporters don't understand that you can love the troops and not support the war at the same time.

Yes, a very good way:
Propose a better answer.
It's too easy to just say no to the Administration proposals, and then sit back and wait for the next. Why can't they be proactive and think of something for themselves, come up with the means to stabilize Iraq, stabilize the region, and allow the troops to come home.
Besides, the military is going to be the same size regardless of where they are. Your fear of supporting additional veterans strikes me as the same attitude the Democratic Congress is showing; gutlessness and irresponsibility.
The point is no longer whether or not invading Iraq was the right thing. How do we go on from here? Not how did we get here. Fix the future, don't blame the past.

Obama has consistently been supportive of Afaganistan, in fact he consistently felt it extremely is the place the conflict could have been fought all alongside, and stronger. while you're speaking approximately him no longer leaping to deliver greater troops- please comprehend that there have been inquiries to be asked and extra information to be gained - i think of we've all found out from background that asking questions and teaching ourselves till now making a call is the suited ingredient for each man or woman. I guess Bush needs he had.

A non-binding resolution is not supporting anything. That's the whole part of "non-binding". Congress is getting all of the benefits of coming out against the war without actually doing anything against the war.

I think Cheney has lost so much respect from the American people that when he squawks, very few bother to listen anymore. He spews rhetoric and spins the truth and he's really a detriment to this country. He will continue to accuse, and Congress will continue to do what they need to do. It's become clear that Cheney's opinion isn't worth much these days.

The Constitution places the power to command the Armed Forces of the US in the hands of the President. They can complain all they want, but the only real thing they can do is defund the war. They know that would be political suicide. They just don't have the guts to do it.
I really wish you liberals would talk to more troops. Not just listen to the ones the C(the)BS can find who oppose the war. But talk to more of them. Listen to them.

The Democrats in Congress are playing it safe and they seem to support the war effort of President Bush.
