I have a 96 saturn SL2 and I replaced the fuel pump after the car cut off on me once before and car worked for approximately 10 hours that day and then i went to start it up later that day and it started and cut right back off real fast..and it wouldnt stay on... If anyone have any ideas please i would really appreciate it if you made suggestions. thank you so very much :-)

check the fuel pump run circuit. Some cars - i don't know about yours have the circuit run through an engine oil pressure guage to cut the pump when the engine stalls. Others are controlled through the mass air flow sensor for the pump run. the pump is initially powered when you crank the starter - so it starts. when you release the start key the pump run circuit sounds dead.

yet another option: verify interior the trunk for a change. some Cadillacs comprise a gasoline shutoff change which will holiday at the same time as the equipment's been messed with. also in the journey that your vehicle has a secure practices equipment it will be shutting down your gasoline pump to avert robbery. try disarming and rearming it (once you've one). Barring that, i'd advise calling your community storage and inquiring for suggestion.

Probably a faulty fuel pump was installed. Discount parts are CHEAP. If you did the repair you may have to do it all over again, sorry;(

I had a similar issue with my Mazda, My mechanic diagnosed it for pressure (Less pressure) am note sure how this happens but this is another clue
